Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and support software features for Ford Android infotainment systems.
- Develop end-to-end customer-visible features, proof-of-concepts, and prototypes for next-generation infotainment systems.
- Investigate, debug, understand, and fix product bugs.
- Evaluate feature design options and review them with the development team.
- Review team members’ designs and code and provide constructive feedback.
- Test software under real-world conditions in Ford test vehicles.
- Collaborate with software developers, test engineers, technical product managers, and leads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of Android software development experience using Kotlin or Java and JNI.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience with CarPlay and Android Auto is preferred.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with C and/or C++ is preferred.
- Experience with automotive infotainment systems is preferred.
- Specialized experience with audio, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Git is preferred.
