Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable HPC infrastructure using CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs.
- Analyze and partition workloads across CPUs and specialized accelerators for AI inference and parallel processing.
- Collaborate with algorithm engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into software architectures.
- Develop prototypes using real code and data to validate architectural designs.
- Serve as an HPC subject matter expert and unblock software engineers.
- Profile clusters and nodes, identify bottlenecks, and optimize workflows, code, processes, and cost of ownership.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning while monitoring GPU metrics for reliability.
- Evaluate technologies and frameworks and lead implementation of complex, scalable, reliable, maintainable, and cost-effective software systems.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
Requirements
- 12 to 18 years of experience implementing scalable infrastructure solutions across CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs.
- Experience with GPU inference servers such as NVIDIA Triton.
- Strong C and C++ knowledge, including data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
- Experience developing distributed HPC software with parallel programming frameworks such as MPI and UCX.
- Experience with GPU programming using CUDA, OpenMP, OpenACC, and OpenCL.
- Deep knowledge of multithreading, thread synchronization, interprocess communication, and distributed computing.
- Experience with shared memory and pipes for interprocess communication.
- Experience with application- and system-level profiling tools such as VTune, OProfiler, perf, and NVIDIA Nsight.
- Experience with vectorization, intrinsics, cache-aware programming, lock-free data structures, and other low-level optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization technologies, and low-latency message queues.
- Experience with HPC job scheduling and cluster management software such as SLURM, Torque, and LSF is an additional qualification.
- Knowledge of RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand, Intel TBB flowgraph, OpenCL, and SYCL is an additional qualification.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
