Base Salary

$180k - $212k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Automate the tracking and analysis of sophisticated cyber threats targeting Coinbase customers, employees, products, and infrastructure.
  • Report and present intelligence analysis to stakeholders, partners, and executives.
  • Model and curate the threat landscape in Vertex Synapse and improve analytic quality through peer review and strategic feedback.
  • Build relationships within Threat Intelligence communities to expand information access and strengthen trust networks.
  • Prioritize, document, investigate, and report high-volume intelligence requests.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on cyber threats and risks affecting Coinbase, cryptocurrency, and the financial industry.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in operational threat intelligence, incident response, security research, or cyber investigations.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go, and SQL for data analysis, scripting, or tooling development.
  • Ability to translate complex technical threat analysis into clear, actionable intelligence briefs for technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience independently identifying high-priority threats, directing investigations, and building solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Skill in conducting open-source intelligence research across varied topics.
  • Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
