Base Salary
$190k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to open-source users on Slack, Stack Overflow, and Reddit, including robotics engineers working on deployment challenges.
- Write blogs, tutorials, and documentation about robot learning and data infrastructure, including VLAs, world models, and sim-to-real pipelines.
- Produce short social-media videos and long-format technical videos for robotics practitioners.
- Create and deliver online and in-person educational courses covering computer vision and machine learning for robotics applications.
- Code integrations connecting FiftyOne with robotics simulation environments, sensor data formats, perception frameworks, models, and datasets.
- Help organize meetups, hackathons, conferences, and workshops, and speak at robotics and autonomous-systems events.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional machine learning experience with direct application of computer vision to robotics systems such as perception, navigation, manipulation, or autonomous vehicles.
- MS or PhD in computer science, robotics, or a related field with an emphasis on computer vision.
- Hands-on experience with robotics-specific data types and tools, including multimodal sensor streams such as MCAP and LeRobot and simulators such as Isaac Sim.
- Proficiency with Python and expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NumPy.
- Strong writing ability and proficiency with a screen recording and editing suite.
- Links to written blogs, articles, or papers, spoken conferences or events, active open-source communities, and GitHub repositories are requested; robotics-focused examples are a bonus.
- Ability to work remotely in a cooperative environment using collaborative development tools such as GitHub and Slack.
