Base Salary
$135k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement improvements to EUDR backend services and refine geospatial workflows.
- Trace and resolve data issues in collaboration with the Support team.
- Clarify ambiguous requirements and translate them into engineering tasks.
- Adapt systems to comply with regulatory updates from the EU.
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Python and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
Requirements
- Strong ability to present complex ideas clearly to non-technical colleagues.
- Experience with design patterns for modular and efficient software.
- Extensive experience with Python, including application development and data processing.
- Advanced experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Practical experience with Linux, Bash scripting, Docker, and AWS services.
- Minimum of seven years of professional experience as a backend software engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent training.
