Responsibilities
- Design and deliver features and components across AWS Security Epoxy services.
- Own operational excellence by instrumenting systems, creating alarms, and reducing manual operational work through automation.
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and maintain documentation and runbooks.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to high-severity issues, and implement permanent corrective fixes.
- Improve system resiliency, scalability, safety, and long-term maintainability at very high scale.
- Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, operational readiness reviews, and post-incident analyses.
- Mentor newer teammates and interns and help partner teams adopt sound engineering and operational practices.
Requirements
- Professional, non-internship software development experience.
- Programming experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
