Responsibilities
- Own the product security research agenda and identify emerging attack patterns.
- Shape security direction across products and platforms in collaboration with leadership.
- Research emerging threats and analyze their impact on products and customers.
- Design pragmatic defenses that are adopted across the organization.
- Lead multi-quarter initiatives to reduce risk and improve security maturity.
- Mentor teams on strategic thinking regarding threats and risk management.
- Represent Chainguard externally through talks and thought leadership.
Requirements
- Deep experience in product or application security with a proven track record.
- Expert knowledge in secure architecture, application security, and risk management.
- Ability to manage ambiguous, cross-functional problems and prioritize initiatives.
- Proven ability to present complex ideas to executive stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and apply them pragmatically.
- Work independently with high ownership while collaborating effectively.
- Comfortable in fast-evolving contexts and capable of building structure.
