Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of scalable language model architectures.
- Design, train, customize, optimize, and deploy large language models, deep learning models, and generative AI solutions.
- Build scalable data pipelines and MLOps/LLMOps systems for model training and production.
- Develop AI/ML solutions involving distributed computing, high-performance computing, edge devices, and enterprise cloud environments.
- Monitor, audit, and improve the quality, scalability, reliability, and performance of deployed models.
- Conduct research and development involving AI algorithms, computational models, simulations, and complex business applications.
- Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, engineers, architects, and UI designers to integrate solutions into production.
- Act as a subject matter expert, make team decisions, provide solutions across multiple teams, and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
- Mentor team members and facilitate technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience is required, including experience with Google Cloud Data Services.
- At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale.
- At least 5 years of experience with computer science foundations, computer system architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- At least 3 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid or cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- At least 2 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software in a cloud environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong expertise in designing and optimizing neural network architectures for natural language processing and working with extensive unlabeled datasets.
- Strong client-facing, written and verbal communication, consulting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Master's or PhD in a related field such as computer science or engineering is preferred.
- Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse and Microsoft Azure Data Services is preferred.
