Base Salary
$160k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build the design automation platform that converts floor plans and configurations into manufacturing-ready building designs.
- Create programmatic checks that validate designs against dimensional, code, and manufacturing constraints and explain validation failures.
- Develop tool-using agents, MCP servers, retrieval workflows, model evaluations, and guardrails.
- Write deterministic, well-tested code that generates geometry, parts lists, manufacturing data, and visualizations.
- Deploy and operate cloud-native software using containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Design Engineering, DFMA, and Factory Operations and improve engineering practices, tooling, and developer experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building production software, with Python as a primary language.
- Experience shipping cloud-native software involving containers, managed services, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
- Interest or experience in agentic systems such as MCP servers, RAG pipelines, LangGraph, tool-calling agents, and LLM evaluations; production experience is a significant plus.
- Comfort with geometry, linear algebra, graphs, or optimization.
- Ability to work across backend, data, infrastructure, and some frontend development.
- Experience setting technical direction and mentoring engineers while improving engineering practices.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field is preferred, with equivalent experience welcome.
- Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity, deadlines, and shifting priorities with clear written and verbal communication.
- Exposure to manufacturing, robotics, hardware, or other software-physical systems is a bonus; CAD, BIM, and architecture experience are not required.
