Base Salary
$153k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for web options engineering and set direction on performance and observability.
- Design, build, test, and roll out React and TypeScript features for trading flows, options onboarding, and monitoring tools.
- Own projects end to end, including cross-team initiatives.
- Break large projects into smaller pieces and guide other engineers.
- Diagnose performance and data issues, including options calculations, identify root causes, and establish monitoring.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and content designers to shape and ship customer-facing features.
- Collaborate with the mobile options team to provide consistent cross-platform experiences.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong web engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills involving performance and data problems.
- Experience owning projects from design through development, testing, and rollout.
- Experience leading projects and setting technical direction, such as improving performance or observability.
- Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly with engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Familiarity with options trading or other fintech and trading products is nice to have but not required.
- Prior tech lead experience, including at smaller companies, is nice to have.
