Responsibilities
- Design and implement front-end web applications for simulation and optimization software.
- Contribute to data visualization and analysis, algorithm design, exploratory prototyping, software implementation, demonstrations, and deployment.
- Collaborate on project teams of 2 to 20 people with Research Scientists and Software Engineers.
- Design user interfaces and apply UI/UX skills to complex technical applications.
- Troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with web application design and front-end development using frameworks or languages.
- Desired experience includes Java or Python, Spring Boot, Redux, WebGL, and/or OpenGL.
- Experience designing and implementing user interfaces is desired.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness is desired.
- Experience with front-end testing and mocking frameworks is desired.
- Familiarity with back-end development, API design, and relational or document database systems is desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship is required, along with eligibility to access classified information after a security investigation.
