Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain production servers for electronic trading systems.
- Write and maintain complex Python infrastructure.
- Own trading issues, operational issues, and deployment processes for production systems.
- Improve processes for scalability, fault tolerance, maintainability, extensibility, and debuggability.
- Keep information supporting production processes accurate and up to date.
- Manage priorities across multiple projects and provide reliable availability.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Python and Linux.
- Strong debugging skills across code development and systems infrastructure.
- Good judgment regarding performance-versus-simplicity trade-offs.
- Ability to make engineering decisions that support maintainability, extensibility, and debuggability.
- Self-directed approach with ownership of projects and mission-critical systems.
- C++ and SQL experience are preferred.
- Ability to context-switch across several projects at once.
