Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate core security infrastructure used by Stripe engineering teams.
- Develop durable security controls, guardrails, and paved roads for cloud technologies and managed services.
- Partner with infrastructure and engineering teams on cloud integrations, platform adoption, and security decisions.
- Build CI tooling for IAM roles, SCPs, and related platform configuration components.
- Expand cloud identity infrastructure for AI and agentic access.
- Automate permission and access reduction across cloud services.
- Define infrastructure that reliably feeds security signals to threat teams and establish data-driven security baselines.
- Evaluate and prototype new security tools and practices.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience in a high-stakes production environment.
- Security experience with one or more of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to reason about system failures, edge cases, and risk reduction in complex environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, learning, and ambiguity-navigation skills.
- Preferred: experience threat modeling software or infrastructure in cloud-native environments.
- Preferred: experience with Linux systems, Kubernetes, and/or container-based platforms.
- Preferred: prior use of security monitoring tools such as CSPM and CNAAP.
- Preferred: experience in multi-cloud or complex cloud environments.
