
Software Test Engineer (Virtualization - SIL) - ADAS Virtualization Deployment

- Support SIL capability development, program-specific configuration, test-result debugging, and initial execution for assigned ADAS features.
- Create scenarios and execute tests to evaluate virtual-environment readiness and capability.
- Evaluate requests to add or update ADAS software, virtual ECUs, models, and programs in SIL package configurations.
- Provide requirements to simulation tools and infrastructure teams for SIL capability updates.
- Automate test cases using established procedures in X-Ray and CGs.
- Reproduce SIL issues and support test-result triage with feature owners, systems engineers, and calibration engineers.
- Automate test-result data analysis and identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and automation.
- Document SIL usage through standard work and how-to guides, provide user training, and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Communicate status, risks, learnings, timing, and technical roadblocks while contributing to continuous improvement of ADAS virtualization capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience related to software testing, embedded-system or control-system simulation.
- Fundamental understanding of active safety, ADAS concepts, vehicle dynamics, or automated driving technology.
- Basic programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, or C/C++.
- Strong ability to use computer-based simulation tools to run tests and analyze data.
- Strong oral and written communication, documentation, learning, multitasking, and delivery skills.
- Preferred: master’s degree or additional coursework in embedded controls, ADAS, autonomous systems, or related areas.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in software testing, simulation, test automation, or validation.
- Preferred: exposure to SIL environments, vehicle simulation tools, virtual ECU testing, physics-based modeling, ADAS sensor simulation, and MATLAB/Simulink or Python development.
- Preferred: familiarity with FMI, Protobuf, Git, Jenkins, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and vehicle diagnostics.
