Responsibilities
- Provide direct technical leadership and develop software architecture.
- Influence, coach, and mentor a distributed team of engineers.
- Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
- Build and improve advertiser-facing video creation and enhancement flows in the Google Ads frontend.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in modern web technologies, frontend frameworks, and distributed web applications.
- Experience with modern web languages and frameworks such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, React, or Dart, plus server-side RPC integration.
- Experience leading technical architecture, cross-functional projects, or mentoring engineers.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: Experience building interfaces incorporating AI/ML models, LLMs, or generative media workflows with user steering and refinement.
