Responsibilities
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept for LLM/RAG services, event-driven pipelines, multi-tenant patterns, and Azure services.
- Develop, debug, and ship production-quality C#/.NET and Python systems while handling the most technically difficult implementation work.
- Implement messaging, CQRS, resilience, caching, and multi-tenant isolation patterns in production code.
- Author and review Terraform and Bicep infrastructure, Helm charts, CI/CD pipelines, and reusable golden-path templates.
- Benchmark and load test designs, investigate performance and cost, and use measured evidence to guide technical decisions.
- Design service boundaries, contracts, data models, deployment topologies, and integrations across Azure, AKS, containers, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and harden Microsoft Fabric integrations involving OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, mirroring, and Real-Time Intelligence.
- Implement network isolation, private endpoints, identity, secrets, encryption, audit, and other regulated-workload controls in code and infrastructure.
- Run design reviews, code reviews, and technical checkpoints for distributed onshore and offshore engineering teams.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, track technical risks, and communicate implementation status and options to technology leadership.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years as a lead or principal engineer shipping production cloud systems.
- 4+ years building and operating containerized production workloads on Kubernetes, preferably AKS.
- Deep, current hands-on experience building, deploying, and debugging Azure services.
- Substantial active C#/.NET and Python development within the last 12 months.
- Applied expertise in enterprise design patterns including messaging, resilience, integration, and multi-tenancy.
- Experience taking novel concepts from whiteboard to working proof of concept and then to an initial production slice.
- Architecture experience across operational and analytical data stores, including event-driven and streaming implementations.
- Fluency with infrastructure as code and CI/CD, including writing Terraform and pipelines directly.
- Security-first implementation experience in regulated environments such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, or financial services.
- Ability to lead distributed and offshore teams through design and code reviews without direct authority.
- Strong written communication skills for ADRs, design documents, and status summaries.
- Preferred qualifications include payments or risk-domain experience, production Microsoft Fabric work, LLM-backed feature delivery, multi-tenant SaaS design, relevant Azure/Kubernetes/Fabric certifications, and open-source, technical writing, or conference experience.
- Willingness to submit to a background investigation and drug test.
