Responsibilities
- Develop production security detections against real log data.
- Utilize frontier LLMs to learn unfamiliar codebases and threat models.
- Build classifiers and rule-based detections for actionable security alerts.
- Collaborate with a mentor on code reviews and threat hunting.
- Document your work clearly for on-call engineers.
- Present your work to the security team and company leadership.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with independent technical projects, such as side projects or open source contributions.
- Fluency in at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Go or Python.
- Comfort using LLMs as coding partners and the ability to critique their suggestions.
- Ability to define and scope projects from fuzzy problems without pre-written tickets.
- Strong written communication skills for documentation and reasoning.
