Base Salary
$144k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and enhance firmware for memory controllers and SSD solutions.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware, hardware, and system-level issues.
- Perform bench testing, failure analysis, and root cause investigations, using AI-assisted tools where appropriate.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to isolate issues and drive product improvements.
- Create and maintain firmware design documentation and technical specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with 8+ years of industry experience.
- Experience developing embedded firmware using C for resource-constrained systems.
- Experience debugging firmware and performing fault analysis in hardware-software environments.
- Knowledge of RTOS, memory management, compilers, and low-level system architectures.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively.
- Preferred: experience in the storage industry, including SSDs or enterprise storage systems.
- Preferred: knowledge of PCIe, NVMe, NAND flash, non-volatile memory technologies, DDR interfaces, and high-performance storage controller architectures.
- Preferred: experience with C++, assembly language, scripting languages, related development tools, and AI-based tools for code generation, code analysis, and root cause analysis.
