Base Salary
$173k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver production-grade Agent capabilities and scalable software systems.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code across services, APIs, data layers, backend systems, and platform code.
- Design secure and predictable Agent orchestration patterns for human and system workflows.
- Build and maintain shared system context, guardrails, design constraints, and production standards for Agent behavior.
- Drive the technical path to general availability by defining readiness criteria, closing architecture gaps, and reducing timeline risk.
- Debug and resolve complex issues across infrastructure and application logic while evaluating correctness, security, and performance.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to maintain highly available services.
- Mentor engineers on software engineering and Agent architecture practices.
- Present designs to stakeholders, review designs, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams on end-to-end features.
Requirements
- A related technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience, including production experience architecting and shipping Agent-based systems.
- Strong fundamentals in computer science, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and API or service design.
- Deep object-oriented programming knowledge and proficiency in at least one of Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Ruby, or Python.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, REST or GraphQL API design, and scalable secure backend services.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices.
- Production experience with Agent orchestration frameworks, tool-calling patterns, LLM integration, guardrails, evaluation, monitoring, and failure handling.
- Fluent daily use of AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering and system-context design skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously under tight timelines.
- Preferred: experience taking an enterprise Agent product from build through GA, large-scale multi-tenant SaaS experience, and experience with Agile development or test-driven development.
- Preferred: a track record as a top performer in current and past roles.
- Ability to work in person at least 10 days per quarter.
