Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Java 17+ microservices, REST APIs, messaging integrations, and data layers using Spring Boot, Kafka, IBM MQ, JPA/Hibernate, and Oracle.
  • Develop Angular and TypeScript UI features with responsive design, accessibility, secure session handling, state management, and API integrations.
  • Own features end-to-end through design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, support, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, environment promotion, quality gates, vulnerability scanning, and SonarQube remediation.
  • Containerize and deploy cloud-based services while monitoring performance, reliability, observability, and cost.
  • Implement secure coding practices including Spring Security, input validation, XSS/CSRF protection, CSP, OAuth/OIDC, TLS, secrets management, and OWASP Top 10 controls.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, component, and end-to-end automated tests across backend and frontend systems.
  • Use structured logging, metrics, dashboards, traces, and log correlation to troubleshoot production systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, engineering collaboration, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related major, or equivalent working experience.
  • 5 or more years of industry experience, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Strong Java 17, Spring Boot 3.5, Spring Web, Spring Data/JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security, Oracle SQL, schema design, transactions, indexing, stored procedures, and performance-tuning experience.
  • Experience with Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, delivery semantics, IBM MQ, microservices architecture, API versioning, resiliency patterns, and fault tolerance.
  • Experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, component architecture, routing, forms, NgRx or similar state tools, semantic HTML5, SCSS/CSS, Flexbox, and responsive layouts.
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle, Git or GitLab, CI/CD pipeline creation, artifact management, environment promotion, and SonarQube.
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine/Karma, Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, Testcontainers, test doubles, mocks, and frontend test integration.
  • Experience with Docker or equivalent containerization and cloud-based service deployment, monitoring, and cost optimization.
  • Experience with Micrometer, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, structured logging, metrics, traces, and production troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of AG Grid, AG Charts, Highcharts, Node.js, npm, Angular CLI, build optimization, lazy loading, OnPush change detection, bundle analysis, WCAG, and frontend observability.
