Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack product features across web and mobile platforms.
- Own end-to-end technical design, architecture decisions, and delivery for product components or systems.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists to define specifications, roadmaps, experiments, and measurable outcomes.
- Improve test coverage, monitoring, alerting, rollout practices, reliability, and incident response.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and reliability issues using instrumentation, profiling, and data analysis.
- Drive execution across projects with cross-team dependencies and coordinate with engineering and cross-functional partners.
- Improve coding standards, developer tooling, and shared infrastructure.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical feedback, and career-development guidance.
- Use dogfooding and user feedback to identify and address product-quality gaps.
- Incorporate privacy, security, integrity, and responsible AI principles into production systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping large-scale consumer or enterprise product features.
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience across web or mobile platforms.
- Proficiency in at least one server-side language and one front-end framework.
- Experience owning technical design and delivery, defining architecture, managing trade-offs, and driving cross-team execution.
- Experience using data, experimentation, and metrics to inform product and engineering decisions.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team-wide engineering practices, standards, or tooling.
- Preferred experience with responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment and bias mitigation.
- Preferred experience scaling global consumer-facing products and influencing key product or business metrics.
- Preferred experience with A/B testing frameworks and feature-flagging systems.
- Preferred experience with prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration, emerging AI technologies, and integrating AI tools into engineering workflows.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of CA$133,000 to CA$177,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
