Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize custom software applications.
- Serve as an SME and collaborate with and manage the team’s technical activities.
- Make team decisions and contribute to key decisions across multiple teams.
- Provide solutions to problems for the immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional growth.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication around project objectives and deliverables.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with IBM AS/400 RPG III.
- Proficiency in IBM AS/400 RPG III.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies and best practices.
- Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing legacy and custom software applications.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for business requirements.
- Familiarity with database management and integration techniques relevant to IBM AS/400 environments.
- Ability to work within agile frameworks and adapt to changing project needs.
- 15 years of full-time education.
