Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support threat-detection content that alerts Security Operations teams to cyber threats.
- Create correlated detections targeting specific threat activities using threat-surface knowledge, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and cyber kill-chain concepts.
- Apply knowledge of endpoint, network, cloud, application, proxy, and Active Directory environments.
- Collaborate with Threat Hunting, Cyber Risk Management, DLP, SOC, Vulnerability Management, Red Team, and Incident Response teams.
- Identify blockers, propose options for resolving them, and communicate detailed information and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively within two-week sprints and a scrum development framework.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience as an Information Security Consultant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of threat surfaces, cyber threats, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and cyber kill-chain concepts.
- Critical thinking, analytical decision-making, investigation, communication, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills.
- Relevant professional certification is expected; CISSP, CRISC, or CISM is an asset.
- Successful completion of required security checks, including a criminal record check, before starting the role.
