Responsibilities
- Own and drive the iCloud data product and application strategy.
- Design and build custom AI-assisted web applications, interactive reporting tools, and self-service data products.
- Architect full-stack applications and integrate AI/LLM capabilities including natural-language querying, automated insights, summarization, and agentic workflows.
- Design metrics, data models, datasets, aggregation strategies, and pipelines with Data Science partners.
- Lead projects from architecture and planning through execution and delivery while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Set technical direction and application development best practices, mentor engineers, and act as a hands-on architect and builder.
- Collaborate with Product, Business, Engineering, Marketing, Design, and Analytics teams on business outcomes and measurement.
- Build automation and AI-driven pipelines that support responsive, large-scale applications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data visualization, data/analytics engineering, data science, or software engineering, with progression into senior or technical-lead scope.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying custom web applications using technologies such as React, Streamlit, Flask, Django, Next.js, or similar.
- Practical experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into applications or workflows, including prompt interfaces, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, copilots, or automated reporting.
- Strong SQL skills and experience designing data models and pipelines for highly interactive applications.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools for legacy reporting and custom web applications.
- Familiarity with data engineering tools, data pipeline development, and aggregation at scale.
- Strong Python skills and experience with AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, OpenAI/LLM APIs, or scikit-learn, plus Spark experience for large-scale processing.
- Experience designing AI agents or agentic workflows for internal tooling or analytics automation is preferred.
- Experience with digital subscriptions, large-scale e-commerce, or media streaming platforms is preferred.
- Experience leading teams or driving technical strategy through tool migrations or major architectural changes is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-native deployment and modern front-end and back-end development practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, project leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, Economics, or a related field; an MS in a related field is preferred.
