Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and deploy custom VUE widget layouts, workspaces, alarms, salvos, UMDs, and automation or override widgets.
  • Configure VUE integrations with MAGNUM-OS for router control, multiviewer management, master control, branding, and playout systems.
  • Create, modify, extend, test, validate, and document device drivers for third-party equipment using vendor protocol documentation.
  • Evaluate and implement third-party integrations through existing drivers, custom drivers, or direct REST, SOAP, WebSocket, and proprietary SDK APIs.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, polling, subscription, latency, control logic, driver, network, hardware, and VUE configuration issues.
  • Commission VUE-based control systems at customer sites, provide operational training, and support escalated customer issues.
  • Collaborate with consultants, system integrators, end users, sales engineering, product management, and R&D teams.
  • Document driver specifications, integration patterns, best practices, and technical support guidance.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Hands-on programming or scripting ability in C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, or a similar language sufficient to build or modify device drivers from protocol specifications.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, SNMP, RESTful APIs, and SOAP web APIs.
  • Ability to read equipment documentation, protocol manuals, SDKs, MIBs, APIs, and standards specifications and translate them into working control logic.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and customers.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for commissioning, training, and escalated support.
  • Preferred experience with Crestron SIMPL or SIMPL#, AMX NetLinx, Extron Global Scripter or GUI Designer, or Q-SYS.
  • Preferred exposure to Evertz MAGNUM-OS, VistaLINK PRO, broadcast router control, SDVN, SMPTE ST 2110, IP-based broadcast infrastructure, or Pro AV over IP.
  • Preferred experience integrating systems through REST or SOAP endpoints, authentication tokens, JSON, and XML.
  • Working knowledge of Linux is preferred.
  • AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification and experience with Evertz MAGNUM School, MAGNUM-OS Academy, or VistaLINK School are nice to have.
  • Background supporting government, defense, or other secure or mission-critical AV environments is a nice-to-have qualification.
