Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer-facing products using Next.js, Python, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Develop AI-powered product features, including retrieval over customer data, agentic workflows, and natural-language interfaces.
- Design, deploy, and improve AI agents and workflows that automate operational work while preserving human oversight for judgment, escalations, sensitive interactions, and quality assurance.
- Integrate CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot and hospitality systems.
- Own data-layer design, including schemas, indexing, query performance, and data exchange with external systems.
- Apply prompt design, structured outputs, output-quality evaluation, cost management, and judgment about appropriate LLM use.
- Deliver software to production, support it in operation, and collaborate with functional leaders and frontline teams on adoption.
Requirements
- Professional proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Next.js, with breadth to adopt additional languages.
- Strong database skills beyond basic operations, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, including authentication, rate limiting, pagination, and failure handling.
- A demonstrated record of delivering and operating production software.
- Ability to scope work from objectives rather than detailed specifications and exercise sound product judgment.
- Written English suitable for daily asynchronous collaboration with colleagues in North America.
- Experience building features on LLM APIs, including prompt design, structured output, evaluation, and cost management.
- Established use of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor with appropriate verification judgment.
- Preferred: hospitality or travel technology experience, Salesforce or HubSpot development, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, agent frameworks, or cloud infrastructure.
