Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade software across Sadie’s AI and integration platform.
Develop workflows combining large language models, business logic, APIs, and real-time hotel data.
Build and improve integrations with hotel PMS, booking, payment, telephony, and customer service platforms.
Use AI development tools throughout research, prototyping, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review.
Improve the accuracy, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency of AI agents.
Build evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and safeguards for AI-driven workflows.
Diagnose complex production issues across distributed systems, third-party APIs, and real-time voice interactions.
Make architectural decisions and take responsibility for production outcomes.
Collaborate with product, customer success, hotel partners, and engineers to translate operational problems into technical solutions.
Mentor engineers and contribute to security, observability, testing, deployment, and code review practices.

At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
Strong backend engineering skills in Python, TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
Demonstrated ability to use AI coding tools as part of daily development and validate their output with engineering judgment.
Practical experience building products with large language models, generative AI, or agentic workflows.
Understanding of prompt design, structured outputs, tool calling, retrieval, context management, and LLM evaluation.
Strong experience designing and integrating APIs, webhooks, and third-party services.
Experience with databases, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and cloud infrastructure.
Strong understanding of testing, observability, performance, security, and reliable production operations.
Ability to independently move from ambiguous business problems to well-designed, deployed solutions.
Excellent debugging, communication, and technical decision-making skills, with strong ownership and attention to detail.
Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where priorities may evolve based on customer needs.
