Systems Engineer - Workday HCM
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Deliver functional and technical Workday enhancements across the existing implementation.
- Gather business requirements and collaborate with internal Workday teams, business users, and third-party integrators.
- Participate in product and feature design sessions with cross-functional partners.
- Build scalable and maintainable test automation using tools such as Kainos.
- Create test strategies, test plans, test cases, execute tests, report defects, and manage quality issues through resolution.
- Participate in code reviews and communicate project status and risks to the team and manager.
Requirements
- Workday certification in one or more functional areas, with Workday Pro certification preferred or required for applicable modules.
- 4+ years of Workday HRMS and Workday Integrations implementation experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, integrations, security, business processes, reports, calculated fields, Integration Framework, Studio, and BIRT.
- Experience with Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Time & Absence.
- Experience leading full lifecycle Workday implementations and gathering business requirements.
- Knowledge of data modeling, relational database languages such as SQL or SOQL, and SOAP and REST web services.
- Experience defining and executing testing processes for Workday or enterprise HR software applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and Workday Community.
- Workday Adaptive Planning, annual benefits enrollment, compensation merit and promotion cycles, MuleSoft troubleshooting, and SaaS/PaaS architecture experience are desirable.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor, along with advanced prompt engineering skills, is desirable.
