Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot Jenkins and Gradle CI/CD pipelines across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Administer and evolve Kubernetes clusters on Azure AKS and extend the platform to OpenShift, AWS, and GCI while maintaining environment parity.
- Implement GitOps deployment workflows and configuration-as-code using the Carvel toolchain, including ytt, kapp-controller, imgpkg, and vendir.
- Develop Ansible automation for provisioning, configuration management, upgrades, patching, and environment refreshes.
- Manage External Secrets Operator integrations, secret stores, TLS certificates, certificate rotation, and policy controls.
- Operate NATS messaging and PostgreSQL infrastructure, including monitoring, recovery validation, connection management, and performance monitoring.
- Implement Testkube-based test orchestration and integrate security, compliance, vulnerability, and dependency testing into CI/CD quality gates.
- Build observability infrastructure for logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting, while contributing to runbooks, incident response, and on-call operations.
- Improve developer productivity through platform documentation, self-service tooling, and reduced build-test-deploy friction.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering roles.
- Hands-on Kubernetes cluster administration with knowledge of scheduling, networking, ingress, service mesh, RBAC, and storage.
- Experience authoring declarative and scripted Jenkins pipelines, using Gradle for Java/JVM projects, and managing artifacts with Nexus.
- Experience writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Practical experience with ytt, kapp-controller, imgpkg, vendir, and related Carvel tools.
- Experience authoring Dockerfiles, using multi-stage builds, optimizing images, managing registries, and integrating vulnerability scanning.
- Experience with External Secrets Operator, Kubernetes Secrets, Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault, or equivalent secret stores.
- Experience managing TLS lifecycles with cert-manager or similar tooling, including certificate rotation automation.
- Operational experience with NATS messaging, including configuration, monitoring, and failure recovery.
- Experience provisioning, backing up, restoring, connecting to, and tuning containerized database environments.
- Experience deploying and integrating Testkube for Kubernetes-native test orchestration.
- Strong security mindset and experience with SAST, DAST, supply chain security, compliance controls, PCI-DSS, or SOC2.
- Azure experience is required or primary; working knowledge of OpenShift, AWS, or GCI is a strong plus.
- Preferred qualifications include multi-cloud platform delivery, Flux, ArgoCD, policy-as-code tools such as OPA/Gatekeeper or Kyverno, AI-assisted DevOps tooling, banking or payments experience, Istio or Linkerd, mTLS, and internal developer platform concepts.
