Software Engineer III- Java/Python, SQL, Databricks
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Modernize and upgrade the Credit Risk technology stack according to industry best practices.
- Design, develop, execute, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software code meets design constraints.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, visualize, and report on large and diverse datasets.
- Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and emerging-technology events.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development and automation tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating their outputs.
- Promote responsible AI use, including secure handling of sensitive data and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Java or Python.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and Transact-SQL, including Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and resiliency and security expectations.
- Preferred: exposure to AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, Business Objects, ThoughtSpot, Kafka, Scala, or Apache Spark.
