Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end platform capabilities for experiment scheduling, evaluation, model development, and on-road testing.
- Build and operate scalable, secure, reliable, performant web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Own features and services from user needs and technical design through implementation, deployment, observability, and production operation.
- Lead system design, technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural direction for significant features and services.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design discussions, code reviews, pairing, and practical guidance.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Research, Operations, Design, and engineering teams to deliver coherent platform capabilities.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing, building, and operating production web applications across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with modern technologies such as React, TypeScript, Python, Flask, or FastAPI, or comparable frameworks and languages.
- Strong understanding of system design, API design, data modeling, asynchronous workflows, automated testing, and distributed-system fundamentals.
- Track record of taking significant features or services from problem definition and technical design through implementation, deployment, and production operation.
- Experience leading technical discussions, influencing engineering decisions, establishing design patterns, and mentoring or supporting other engineers.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, research, and operational stakeholders and communicate technical trade-offs clearly.
- Preferred experience with internal platforms, developer tools, workflow systems, ML platforms, model training and evaluation, experiment tracking, artifact management, data pipelines, distributed job orchestration, large-scale compute, observability, security, data governance, autonomous systems, robotics, simulation, or safety-critical domains.
