Base Salary
$120k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, support, and deploy software changes from design through production.
- Perform technical analysis and solution design for applications supporting prime brokerage and securities financing processes.
- Troubleshoot production and application issues and improve scalability, stability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with developers, related technology teams, trading and operations users, and geographically distributed colleagues.
- Translate business requirements into reliable technology solutions and communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions.
- Apply automated testing, test-driven development, and software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience, including delivery of server-side applications using JVM languages.
- Hands-on experience with JVM-based languages and multithreaded programming.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, automated testing, high-availability systems, and production support.
- Experience with JUnit, Cucumber, and test-driven development practices.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL; DB2 or Sybase experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge of non-relational databases and query mechanisms; MongoDB experience is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of Git or Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Unix or Linux environments.
- Experience with Scala, Angular, C# or C++ is desired.
- Familiarity with event-driven, real-time, or distributed systems and functional programming concepts is desired.
- Knowledge of repo, securities lending, derivatives margin, central counterparty clearing, or collateral management is desired.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Amp, Codex, or Copilot.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business users and global technology teams.
