Base Salary
$155k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive full-stack application development using modern technologies across cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
- Design and implement scalable APIs with security, monitoring, and logging frameworks.
- Develop rich user-interface components using React or Angular.
- Manage AWS infrastructure components and CI/CD pipelines, including CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, S3, and RDS.
- Own production application operations, including change review and approval before deployment.
- Collaborate with business, product, project, technology, and global investment stakeholders to define requirements and technical delivery plans.
- Integrate with vendors and platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin and Snowflake.
- Create low-level designs, engineering specifications, system documentation, operations documentation, and user guides.
- Write, review, unit test, and approve code for production release while supporting quality assurance testing.
- Lead code reviews, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, production support, and system-failure remediation.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, governance oversight, and delivery guidance to employees, contractors, and vendor development resources.
- Conduct asset health and security assessments and improve system performance, reliability, resource consumption, and security posture.
- Maintain productive relationships with business partners and recommend development tools, practices, priorities, and asset investments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least three years in a lead role.
- Strong full-stack development experience with JavaScript, React or Angular, Node.js or Java/.NET/Python, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services, including Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Strong API development and integration experience.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, and Selenium.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional delivery in a matrix environment.
- Preferred experience in asset management, investment banking, or wealth management.
- Preferred knowledge of SMA, OMS, PMS, risk engines, SMA/ETF platforms, fund lifecycle processes, regulatory reporting, ESG data pipelines, performance attribution systems, event-driven architecture, and Snowflake.
