Base Salary
$215k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed and full-stack systems.
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify technical improvements, reduce technical debt, and optimize distributed-system performance.
- Mentor engineers and influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, AI coding tools, mentoring, and large-scale technical initiatives.
