- Design, develop, and evolve scalable Java automation frameworks emphasizing reliability, performance, and data correctness.
- Create test strategies and automate complex features across multiple environments.
- Build validation layers that improve CI/CD pipelines and prevent silent failures and regressions.
- Develop AI- and LLM-powered tools, agents, and workflows for debugging, test generation, flaky-pattern detection, log analysis, and root-cause identification.
- Measure and improve reliability, automation efficiency, and defect-prevention outcomes.
- Test data pipelines and ELT platforms, including CDC, connector-based ingestion, and source-to-destination data validation.
- Collaborate with engineering and product leaders and coach quality engineers on automation excellence.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software industry experience focused on quality, automation, and engineering excellence.
- Strong proficiency in Java and deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Expertise designing scalable automation frameworks and identifying negative, edge, and high-risk scenarios.
- Understanding of distributed-systems risks including schema drift, idempotency failures, data inconsistencies, and race conditions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and Buildkite.
- Experience with backend automation frameworks, database internals, and testing data pipelines or ELT platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CDC mechanisms, connector-based ingestion, and large-scale data accuracy and consistency validation.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI/LLM tools and build AI-assisted workflows, tools, or agents integrated into engineering pipelines.
- Bonus: experience testing Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL; distributed-systems testing; data reconciliation; log-based CDC; API polling; batch/file ingestion; or query-based incremental syncs.
Benefits
- Full-time hybrid position based in the Bangalore office with remote flexibility and two in-office days per week.
- 100% employer-paid medical insurance, subject to country and worker-type variation.
- Paid time off, paid sick time, parental leave, holidays, a Global Week of Rest, and volunteer days off.
