Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and develop platform services and features in distributed systems delivering live sports data to web, mobile, and living room devices.
- Own and operate production services, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on performance, scalability, caching, resiliency, and flexible product expansion.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
- Participate in architectural reviews, propose improvements, and research emerging technologies.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong backend platform development skills and understanding of software architectural patterns.
- Experience with cloud-based architecture and deployment, messaging or streaming platforms, CI/CD pipelines, task automation, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Strong proficiency in Java or other JVM languages; familiarity with Go, Rust, or other system-level languages is a plus.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and demonstrated ability to own features from design through production support.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS experience, observability tooling, GraphQL APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, AI and LLM knowledge, and experience with sports media, live data systems, or high-throughput real-time platforms.
Benefits
- Full-time position based in Bristol, Connecticut.
- Hiring range is $138,900–$186,200 per year, with potential bonus and/or long-term incentive units and medical, financial, and other benefits.
