Base Salary
$122k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic components, including tool-use integrations, retrieval steps, and orchestration logic.
- Contribute to context engineering within token, latency, and cost constraints.
- Integrate LLM APIs, embedding models, vector stores, and agentic frameworks into production services.
- Build evaluations, guardrails, offline benchmarks, online telemetry, logging, metrics, and access-control practices for agentic systems.
- Participate in on-call rotations, debugging, profiling, root-cause analysis, and production bug fixes.
- Lead work processes and design reviews, review other engineers’ work, and explain technical trade-offs.
- Partner with business, infrastructure, and security teams on enhancements aligned with the AI Agentic Solutions roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with LLM or foundation-model APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google, including prompt engineering or retrieval-augmented generation exposure.
- Experience building or contributing to AI agents or agentic workflows involving tool use, orchestration, or downstream-system integration, including through production work, side projects, or coursework.
- Understanding of agent context assembly and exposure to evaluation or testing practices for LLM-based systems.
- Strong data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design fundamentals.
- Experience with at least one production-grade technology stack and working knowledge of cloud-native development on AWS and/or GCP.
- Familiarity with LangGraph, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, the Claude Agent SDK, or OpenAI Assistants API.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience with backend databases, containerization, observability, retail or e-commerce, big-data technologies, production ML integration, or open-source AI projects.
