Responsibilities
- Develop the mobile threat landscape, identify attack paths and control gaps, and define the target security posture and roadmap.
- Create practical iOS and Android security standards covering application integrity, device trust, authentication, credential protection, local data, WebViews, deep links, and third-party SDKs.
- Build and operate an evidence-based mobile application security assessment and review program with methodology, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and escalation.
- Drive platform-level security solutions, automation, engineering self-service, and measurement of security coverage and residual risk.
- Influence senior engineering leaders across organizational boundaries on architecture, engineering practices, and investment priorities.
- Establish the mobile security operating model and help build and manage a specialist team over time.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on mobile security expertise across both iOS and Android, preferably in a large-scale consumer technology environment.
- Practical experience with mobile application security, reverse engineering, app integrity, device trust, authentication, secure storage, IPC, WebViews, deep links, networking, and abuse resistance.
- Experience building or operating a mobile security assessment or review program rather than only conducting individual reviews.
- Strong software engineering experience, ideally including production mobile development or mobile security tooling.
- Ability to identify systemic issues across applications and translate them into reusable platform controls, standards, or engineering frameworks.
- Experience with product security architecture and threat modeling at significant scale.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior engineers and leaders and drive changes in engineering practice across organizational boundaries.
- Prior people management is useful but not required; strong technical leadership and potential to grow into management are emphasized.
