Base Salary
$133k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate backend services and APIs for Jade.
- Integrate AI models with member data, tools, and Chime services.
- Own scoped features from technical design through implementation and rollout.
- Develop automated evaluations, tests, and experiments to measure model quality and detect regressions.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and observability and investigate production issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and data teams to develop useful member experiences.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software development experience in a production environment at scale.
- Proficiency in a backend programming language such as Python, Go, or Ruby, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Experience building backend services or applications and working with APIs and databases.
- Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including service communication, reliability, latency, consistency, and scale trade-offs.
- Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, and willingness to learn.
- Preferred: Python backend development experience, familiarity with LLMs and model APIs, AI evaluation experience, or exposure to LangSmith, LangChain, LangGraph, Amazon Bedrock, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
