Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for the Integrations platform.
- Lead the design and implementation of APIs, webhooks, system connectivity, and automation workflows.
- Act as a hands-on expert in software design, system architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Use AWS services to build scalable and maintainable integration workflows.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party platforms including Salesforce, Workato, and Zapier.
- Promote AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, pair programming, incident reviews, and technical coaching.
- Lead architecture efforts and collaborate with cross-functional partners on integration solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a deep focus on backend development and systems integration.
- Strong experience with APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, TypeScript, AWS, and MySQL.
- Expertise designing robust APIs and scalable integration architectures, including microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience diagnosing and preventing performance and scale problems using application performance monitoring and log analytics tools such as New Relic and Bugsnag.
- Proficiency in at least two of Node.js, Python, and Java.
- Strong AWS experience, particularly with AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, and SQS/SNS.
- Strong startup experience, a product mindset, pragmatic technical judgment, and a mentoring orientation.
- Preferred experience building or maintaining Salesforce integrations and familiarity with NPC, NPSP, and Experience Cloud.
- Preferred experience working with CRM products and understanding how different CRMs operate.
- Preferred experience using AI development tools to accelerate delivery.
- Working experience with PHP Laravel is preferred.
