Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and operate secure, scalable infrastructure across OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux virtualization platforms, AWS, and hybrid environments.
- Build and operate container platforms using OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker or compatible runtimes, registries, ingress and routing, namespaces, RBAC, secrets, configuration maps, operators, and deployment manifests.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, GitOps patterns, Python, Bash, PowerShell, YAML, and JSON.
- Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, Jenkins, artifact promotion, quality gates, deployment approvals, security scans, rollback procedures, and release documentation.
- Support AWS and hybrid-cloud operations involving EC2, VPC, IAM, load balancing, Route 53, S3, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, KMS, Secrets Manager, snapshots, and EKS/ECS.
- Administer Ubuntu LTS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux infrastructure, including patching, hardening, certificates, storage, filesystems, networking, systemd services, and performance analysis.
- Improve observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, ELK/OpenSearch, Splunk, and CloudWatch through dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and proactive monitoring.
- Implement security and compliance controls involving least-privilege access, IAM/RBAC, TLS, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, image and container scanning, and audit evidence.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, vendors, and operations teams to improve deployment repeatability, automated testing, and platform adoption.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, release, maintenance, disaster recovery, root-cause analysis, and production-support activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on platform experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure operations, cloud operations, SRE, or enterprise-scale production support.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux, particularly Ubuntu LTS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including troubleshooting, patching, hardening, networking, and performance analysis.
- Hands-on experience architecting, configuring, maintaining, and operating Kubernetes and/or OpenShift environments; container-platform experience is required.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code and automation experience, particularly with Terraform and Ansible; CloudFormation, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and GitOps experience are assets.
- Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or comparable tools.
- AWS experience involving services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, KMS, Secrets Manager, load balancing, and EKS/ECS is beneficial.
- Knowledge of vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V, networking, storage, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and security controls.
- Relevant AWS, Kubernetes/CKA/CKAD, Red Hat OpenShift, Terraform Associate, DevOps, or cloud certifications are advantageous.
- English fluency is required; French is an asset for Montreal-based support.
- Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, mentoring, documentation, automation, observability, resilience, and continuous-improvement skills are expected.

- Occasional travel may be required for implementation, vendor or customer coordination, data-centre activities, and cross-site support.

- The position may participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for platform, cloud, infrastructure, and deployment services.
