Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build new features for the Amazon MSK service.
- Develop APIs and workflows, core Kafka platform improvements, and standalone Kafka operations tools.
- Design scalable systems, improve performance, investigate technologies, and prototype solutions.
- Test and review code and deliver a strong customer experience.
- Collaborate with engineers and senior leaders to define the team roadmap and required changes to underlying open-source platforms.
Requirements
- Have 3 or more years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Have 2 or more years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Program in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: have 3 or more years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: have experience with large-scale systems, data streaming technologies, and open-source data-processing frameworks.
