Responsibilities
- Lead a DevOps team in architecting, developing, and maintaining release and deployment automation pipelines.
- Architect and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines for multiple development teams.
- Design and oversee deployment strategies for containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Integrate cloud services and infrastructure-as-code principles using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Conduct system and architecture reviews and implement performance and process improvements.
- Drive adoption of continuous integration, continuous delivery, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster continuous improvement.
- Integrate observability and monitoring tools to support high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deployment strategies and operational requirements.
- Design and implement disaster recovery strategies while maintaining security and compliance standards.
Requirements
- 12+ years of total experience in the IT field, focused on DevOps practices and principles.
- 5+ years of in-depth experience with Python, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, Terraform, and Octopus Deploy.
- Expertise designing and managing complex release, deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, TCP/IP networking, and cloud services including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong scripting expertise, especially in Python, with experience in Groovy and Groovy shared libraries preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Ansible and container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, plus Helm package management.
- Experience with observability, log collection, and analysis tools including Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and ELK stack.
- Background in software development, architectural patterns, and containerized environments.
