Responsibilities
- Implement standards for AI-augmented development using prompt engineering and validation frameworks.
- Evaluate and mitigate security vulnerabilities, over-abstraction, and other issues in AI-generated code.
- Design, build, and maintain highly available cloud-native infrastructure.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and platform abstractions.
- Implement platform security safeguards and compliance standards.
- Develop monitoring, tracing, and alerting as part of the observability roadmap.
- Translate technical requirements into scalable platform solutions with product and engineering teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, lead incident response, and promote modern engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or backend engineering.
- Experience building scalable cloud-native environments with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Strong proficiency with AI collaborators including Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to assess AI-generated code for security gaps and architectural issues and apply rigorous testing strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- High proficiency in Java and Python; Golang is a plus.
- Experience building mature CI/CD pipelines and using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Ability to own complex projects and collaborate effectively with distributed engineering and product teams.
- Preferred experience includes high-growth startups, financial systems or real-money transactions, regulatory compliance, internal developer tools or CLI applications, and leading small project groups.
