Responsibilities
- Research, implement, deploy, and scale machine learning techniques for logistics problems.
- Develop solutions for supply-and-demand challenges and optimize logistics algorithms, including ETA prediction and pricing.
- Implement and launch data science applications that coordinate with customer-facing product solutions.
- Build tools, data pipelines, and evaluation frameworks to support the development, iteration, and launch of ML ideas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and promote engineering and data science best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience in machine learning and real-time data streaming technologies for forecasting or logistics products.
- Strong Python coding and software engineering skills.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and productize and deploy solutions using cloud services such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong background in microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless computing, and cloud architecture patterns.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for production deployment.
- Additional experience with Airflow, MLflow, Docker, or Flink is a plus.
- Experience with real-time production systems operating at scale, such as millions of requests or transactions per day, is desirable.
