Base Salary

$162k - $243k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate multi-agent systems that coordinate tasks across tools and services at scale.
  • Implement agentic coding workflows in which agents generate code, run tests, create diffs or pull requests, and iterate within guardrails.
  • Design orchestration layers for planning, supervision, evaluation, retries, and long-running execution.
  • Instrument and monitor agent behavior, including success, failure, latency, cost, human overrides, and code-generation outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to translate user problems into shippable agent workflows and iterate based on feedback.
  • Design and operate reliable, performant, and cost-aware AI agent products from prototype through production.

Requirements

  • Strong production experience building LLM-powered systems, including prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool or function calling, and agentic coding workflows.
  • Strong backend engineering skills with Python and/or Node.js, including APIs, asynchronous services, and background workers for long-running stateful workflows.
  • Experience designing multi-step agent execution loops with state management, idempotency, and failure recovery.
  • Experience with distributed systems primitives such as queues, pub/sub, durable state, rate limiting, and concurrency controls.
  • Experience instrumenting agent behavior with structured events and observability.
  • Experience deploying and operating cloud systems on AWS or GCP with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with inter-agent communication patterns, including message schemas, shared memory, blackboard systems, and event-driven coordination.
  • Experience building agent evaluation pipelines using prompt regression tests, simulations, automated scoring, or human review.
  • Understanding of cost-aware agent execution, including model routing, caching, batching, and budget constraints.
  • Experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, and persistent memory strategies.
  • Exposure to emerging agent protocols such as x402 payment flows and MCP.
  • Strong systems thinking, production engineering judgment, ownership, and ability to learn quickly in emerging technical domains.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, bonus, and equity are offered.
  • Generous paid time off and 11 company holidays are provided.
