Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, observable, and high-performing application architecture.
- Write clean, efficient, documented code and conduct code and architecture reviews.
- Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product features.
- Implement application security safeguards against vulnerabilities.
- Lead major capability decisions and translate business and product needs into technical roadmaps.
- Map product capabilities into well-defined domains and ensure they deliver required services within the wider technical platform.
- Lead through hands-on coding, mentor teams, and drive adoption of strong software engineering practices.
- Communicate complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and strengthen the product engineering culture.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience building customer-facing web products using React and Next.js.
- Strong frontend engineering background, ideally with full-stack experience across APIs, integrations, and system boundaries.
- Proven experience designing and evolving software architecture across complex systems, multiple codebases, or related product domains.
- Ability to translate product requirements into technical designs, staged delivery plans, and high-quality implementations.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coaching mindset and ability to help others grow and establish engineering best practices.
- Experience with PHP and Vue or Vue components is preferred.
- Experience with membership, community, personalization, gamification, or user-retention products is preferred.
- Experience working on high-traffic websites is preferred.
- Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design, SOLID, GRASP, or other software design principles is preferred.
