Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze software requirements, domains, functionality, hardware interfaces, and overall software characteristics.
- Write software code using programming, scripting, and/or database languages.
- Support software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution by correcting errors, responding to scope changes, and implementing enhancements.
- Apply coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations practices.
- Execute specialized projects, improve day-to-day processes, and manage short-term team activities.
- Potentially supervise less experienced professionals and take responsibility for end products.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of software development or the broader applicable discipline.
- Ability to work independently according to established principles and execute specialized projects.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including coding, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
- Ability to manage operational decisions within a defined scope and potentially oversee or supervise team members.
