Base Salary
$130k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement single-tenant and dedicated enterprise deployment infrastructure.
- Build VPC peering, private connectivity, and static IP capabilities for enterprise network integration.
- Develop authorization infrastructure supporting fine-grained access controls, custom permission models, and policy enforcement.
- Implement BYOK encryption, customer-managed keys, and data residency controls.
- Write Terraform modules and infrastructure automation for repeatable deployments across regions and configurations.
- Debug and harden systems spanning networking, authorization, Kubernetes, and cloud services.
- Partner with Platform Engineering, Security, Sales, and Customer Success to scope requirements and unblock deployments.
- Help define enterprise infrastructure SLAs and SLOs and participate in infrastructure build-versus-buy decisions.
Requirements
- At least four years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
- Strong programming skills in Go, TypeScript, or Python, with experience writing high-quality, well-tested code.
- Production experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPCs, peering, private connectivity, load balancers, and DNS.
- Experience with Terraform and configuration management.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems, including OAuth/OIDC, RBAC/ABAC models, and policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with TLS, encryption at rest, and key management concepts.
- Strong debugging skills across distributed systems.
- Excellent written communication and ability to explain technical tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services, networking, and IAM is preferred.
- Experience building multi-tenant or single-tenant SaaS infrastructure is preferred.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, FedRAMP, and HIPAA compliance frameworks is preferred.
- Experience implementing customer-managed encryption keys or BYOK is preferred.
- Background in developer platforms, cloud IDEs, or developer productivity products is preferred.
