Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software to automate infrastructure operations and support seamless deployments.
  • Evaluate and implement solutions for business needs and assess their outcomes.
  • Define and enforce operations, development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps standards.
  • Perform maintenance and monitoring for cloud infrastructure systems and services.
  • Monitor application performance and service-level indicators.
  • Respond to and initiate incident response for high-severity site reliability issues.
  • Implement and enforce infrastructure and application security controls.
  • Research industry best practices and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and train Site Reliability Engineers on relevant technologies and practices.
  • Monitor and steward infrastructure and development-related costs.
  • Evaluate solutions with product vendors and negotiate contract agreements.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Systematic, organized, accurate, thorough, and timely approach to assignments.
  • Ability to explain complex processes clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and solve problems.
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and guide others.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 7+ years of related work experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
  • Professional certifications in cloud engineering programs preferred.
