Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software to automate infrastructure operations and support seamless deployments.
- Evaluate and implement solutions for business needs and assess their outcomes.
- Define and enforce operations, development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps standards.
- Perform maintenance and monitoring for cloud infrastructure systems and services.
- Monitor application performance and service-level indicators.
- Respond to and initiate incident response for high-severity site reliability issues.
- Implement and enforce infrastructure and application security controls.
- Research industry best practices and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and train Site Reliability Engineers on relevant technologies and practices.
- Monitor and steward infrastructure and development-related costs.
- Evaluate solutions with product vendors and negotiate contract agreements.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Systematic, organized, accurate, thorough, and timely approach to assignments.
- Ability to explain complex processes clearly and concisely.
- Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and solve problems.
- Ability to collaborate and work independently.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and guide others.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 7+ years of related work experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
- Professional certifications in cloud engineering programs preferred.
